The Salvation Army - Mind Gardens

On this date in 1981, Salvation Army released their first actual single, "Mind Gardens". It was backed by "Happen Happened". Both tracks appeared on their self-titled debut album. They had previously released two EP's. By the middle of 1982, they were forced to change their name by the real Salvation Army. They became The Three O'Clock. The Los Angeles power pop band lasted until 1988. Their debut album was later re-released under the name Befour Three O'Clock and retitled Happen Happened.
