On this date in 1980, Ian Dury & The Blockheads released their ninth single, "Sueperman's Big Sister". It was backed by "You'll See Glimpses". The A side appeared on their third album, Laughter. The B side was a non-LP track which was added as a bonus track when it was re-released on CD. The single reached the #51 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The London punk/post-punk band was fronted by Ian Dury. They disbanded in 1981. After a solo career, Dury worked again with The Blockheads before his death on March 27, 2000.
