Flipper - Get Away

On this date in 1982, Flipper released their third single, "Get Away". It was backed by "The Old Lady That Swallowed The Fly". The A side appeared on their second long-play, a live cassette-only release called Blow'n Chunks. Neither track appeared in studio form on an album. The San Francisco hardcore punk band disbanded in 1987 after two studio albums, some live material and several singles. Lead singer Will Shatter died of a drug overdose in 1988. They re-formed a few times afterwards and are together now.
