On this date in 1977, The Yachts released their debut single, "Suffice To Say". It was backed by "Freedom (Is A Heady Wine)". The A side was on their self-titled debut album but the B side was not. The Liverpool, England power pop/new wave band disbanded in 1981 with two albums and ten singles to their credit. J.J. Campbell went on to It's Immaterial. Martin Dempsey went on to Pink Military.

The Drones - Bone Idle

On this date in 1977, The Drones released their debut single, "Bone Idol". It was backed by "Just Want To Be Myself". Both tracks appeared on their debut album, Further Temptations, though they were different takes than the single versions. The Manchester, England punk band released three 7-inch records and an album before disbanding in 1979.
