On this date in 1977, The Yachts released their debut single, "Suffice To Say". It was backed by "Freedom (Is A Heady Wine)". The A side was on their self-titled debut album but the B side was not. The Liverpool, England power pop/new wave band disbanded in 1981 with two albums and ten singles to their credit. J.J. Campbell went on to It's Immaterial. Martin Dempsey went on to Pink Military.
