The Lambrettas - Go Steady

On this date in 1979, The Lambrettas released their debut single, "Go Steady". It was backed by "Cortina" and "Listen, Listen, Listen". None of the tracks initially appeared on their debut album, Beat Boys In The Jet Age , but all three were added as bonus tracks when the album was re-released on CD. The Brighton, England mod band named themselves after a motorbike popular with the mod revivalists. The Lambrettas released nine singles and two albums before disbanding in 1982.
