Stray Cats - You Don't Believe Me

The A side appeared on their second U.K. album, Gonna Ball, and their debut U.S. album, Built For Speed. The B side was a non-LP track. The single reached the #57 spot on the U.K. singles chart. The Massapequa, NY rockabilly band broke up in 1984 but periodically reunites for performances.

Girls At Our Best! - Pleasure

On this date in 1981, Girls At Our Best! released their debut album, Pleasure. It contained the singles, "Fast Boyfriends" and "Heaven". The Leeds, England four-piece post punk band disbanded in 1981 with one album...and, despite their name, only one female (Judy Evans). The other members of the band were male.

Poison Girls - Total Exposure

On this date in 1981, Poison Girls released their third album of their own, Total Exposure. It was a thirteen track live album recorded July 5, 1981. It included a live version of the single, "Bully Boys". The Brighton, England punk band was fronted by female singer Vi Subversa but was not an all-girl band, despite their name. They disbanded in 1989.
