The B-52's - Wild Planet

On this date in 1980, The B-52's released their second album, Wild Planet. It contained the singles, "Private Idaho" (#74 U.S.), "Dirty Back Road", "Strobe Light" and "Give Me Back My Man" (#61 U.K.). The album, itself, reached the #18 spot on the U.S. albums chart. The Athens, Georgia new wave quintet was reduced to a foursome after the death of Ricky Wilson but have continued on and recently released a new album recently.
